A Really Bad Accident

My Poor Mum

This is what my 85 year old Mum has been up to this weekend she fell just outside of her patio door and has broken both wrists and beaten her face up pretty badly. My sister took this shot of her from her Hospital chair, I would so love to be with her just now but she is on the other side of this vast continent and I am going to be going over there in August for Dad's 90th. It's at times like this I wish we were a lot nearer, or a lot richer so travel could be more affordable. Makes me realise how important an Emergency Fund is.

  1. Oh, Maureen. I feel so sorry for your poor Mum. I'm so sorry too that you can't get over there - isn't money a frustrating thing. No doubt she will be in very good care though, but I just feel for you. :(

  2. Thanks, I spoke to her just a short while ago and she is bearing up very well. she has told me she would rather see me when she is better because my Sister and Dad are attending to her every need. But everytime I see her photo I want to hug her and make it all go away.....

  3. Bless her heart! I know it's frustrating not being able to see her in person and make sure she's really OK. Sounds like your sister and Dad are taking good care of her. Hugs to you both!

  4. It is awful to be so far away when a loved one is hurting isn't it. I am glad she has good and loving caretakers and hope she heals soon. Keep sending her the long distance hugs through phone calls and your visit will be here sooner than you think.

    1. She can't even hold a phone just now, so I ring her when my sister is there to put her Iphone on speaker...
